Dr.'s Appt.

Monday was Addi's 6 month checkup. It went great! She weighs 17 lbs. 2 oz. (50% percentile) and is 26 in. tall (75% percentile). The Dr. says she's in perfect health.
We are now supposed to feed her baby food twice a day. By the end of this week she will have "sampled" all of the veggies, which means we'll be starting her on fruits real soon. It is pretty fun to witness her sheer joy when it comes to eating.
I can't believe how quickly she is growing up. Everyone warned me of this, I just didn't believe it till now!

Time Flies When You're Having Fun!!!!!

I am sorry I have not updated this blog in some time. We have been quite busy. Also, the computer has no memory left in which to download more pics (which is half the fun in updating this site!). I'll do my best to at least post if I cannot download pictures.

I can't believe it! Addison is nearly 6 months old already! It really does seem like "we just left the hospital".
She has grown so much in the last three weeks! So much so, that it's hard for Mommy to handle. Addi now rolls over, sits on her own, has graduated to the next size of car seat, has 2 teeth, says "da da" and eats baby food. (You should see her eat. As soon as I pull the bib from the drawer- she smiles, lets out a high pitched squeal and practically convulses; arms just a waving. It's hilarious!)
I think that being with the two other girls daily has helped in her advancement.
Speaking of which. It's going really well taking care of the girls. It's actually quite do-able. All four of us are adjusting quite well. We have established a great little schedule and our days go by quite quickly.

Now that summer is over, Michigan football has begun. Yippee! (I'll have to find away to get a pic of her in one of her many adorable U of M outfits onto this site.) More on that later.

Hope you are all doing well. Take Care. GO BLUE!!!!!!

The Answer to My Prayers

Finally!!!!!!! After much stress, many tears and praying (daily) since January about what exactly I am supposed to do as far as employment, the answer has come.
Starting tomorrow I will be taking care of my friend Lily's 2 beautiful daughter's, Kaylee (2 1/2 yrs.) and Miranda (14 mos.)
I will be watching them in their home Monday thru Friday. And now for the best part - I get to have Addi with me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Just the answer I was hoping for!)
Now, all I need are prayers for my sanity! :)

Dr.'s Appt.

Today we had Addi's 4 month Dr.'s appt. It went great! She did get four shots, but thanks to her chubby legs she only screamed for 10-15 seconds! :) The Doc says Addison is in good health and is developing perfectly.
Addi now weighs 16 lbs. 3 oz. (95% percentile) and is 25.5 inches long (90% percentile)!!!!!!

Addison's Baptism

Addison Faith was baptized today (along with her friend Cameron - son of our friends Brad and Jennifer Davis). Addison wore a special dress that was made by her Godmother (Megan Sterk) and also worn by her friend Kaya for her baptism! (Godfather, Mike Kooreman couldn't make it. He lives in UT you see!) Pastor Riley did a wonderful job with the baptism and Jeff sang a wonderful, personalized song for the kids. I'm happy to say that no tears were shed (by the babies that is). Halfway thru the service Cameron actually reached out to hold Addison's hand - it was pretty cute!
A special thanks to all who attended. It was great to have you all there.

A visit from The "Pitzer's" (and Carmack's)

This week Grandma and Grandpa Pitzer (FL), Uncle David (FL), Aunt Steph and Cousin's Josh and Alyssa (OH) came to visit us. This was their first time meeting Addison!!! (Not G'ma and G'pa, they were here in April.) We had a great time together. We don't get to see each other very often (unlike The Dykstra's), but when we do; we make our time together count.
Family is VERY important to us. We were grateful that our family could make the trip to be with us.
